Debbie MacLeod B of Ed (Physical Education Teacher registered with GCTC)

Debbie MacLeod

Debbie MacLeod is the founder of Ready Steady Go, which has been providing first rate sports coaching for children in Teanassie, Beauly, Kiltarlity and Kirkhill since 1996.

It was during Debbies’ 15 years of working as a P.E. teacher that she developed the idea of starting after school sports classes for children, these were designed to cater for children of any ability level, and to teach children not just about sport, but also about life skills such as social interaction, sportsmanship, having a positive outlook and how to adopt a healthy balanced lifestyle.

Debbie has also worked with the Highland Council as an Active Schools Coordinator, where she was tasked with making sure that various sports sessions were delivered to the cluster of primary schools feeding into Charleston Academy.

During her 11 years of working with John-Alasdair, they delivered sport sessions to over 200 children a year with the long term goal of enthusing children about the idea of keeping fit and to have fun whilst doing so. During their time working together, they have seen over 30 of their former attendees go on to represent their country at various age levels, all the way up to senior for Football, Shinty and Hockey.

Daniel MacLeod

Daniel MacLeod

Daniel MacLeod is a very talented former Scotland youth footballer and coach who is known for his tremendous positive attitude, friendliness and enthusiasm.

Since coming up through the ranks as a promising youth player at Ross County Football Club, he has since gone on to make a big impression at Clachnacudin FC and Elgin City FC. Over the last year and a half he has been playing in the college soccer system in America, where by being talent spotted, he was approached with the chance to go professional within the North America Soccer League.

OJ Sports looks forward to welcoming Daniel back, as he has a great way with children and will look to pass on the knowledge he gained from becoming a qualified football coach and working with Mens Teams in the U.S.A.

What We Do

We specialise in running after school sports classes for nursery and primary school children.

These classes consist of a wide range of activities, ranging from: Uni-hoc, First Shinty, Football, Basketball, Handball, Tag Rugby to Athletics and many more. We also use activities like obstacle courses and throwing and catching games to improve the childrens' co-ordination, balance and fitness.

We are also available for hire for childrens' birthday parties, these can be tailored to the childrens' individual demands. For example, obstacle courses and running around games for younger children, and mini sports tournaments for older children.

We also provide personal training services for anyone from children to teenagers to adults, this may be with the goal of getting fitter or trying to improve sporting performance levels.
